OUR MIXED BILLING FEES .

Our out-of-pocket fee is $24. Please ensure you bring your Medicare Card and any Health Care/Pensioner/DVA cards to each appointment.

Our practice will continue to bulk bill the following patient groups for consultations (not including procedures):

–Concession card holders, DVA, Health Care Card and Pensioner Card holders.

– Patients under 16 years of age.

– Immunisations (e.g., childhood, influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations).

– Care plans and Mental Health Care plans.

-Health Assessments

We accept EFTPOS and credit cards.  Please ensure that you update your bank details with your Medicare account to allow the rebates to be deposited into your account by Medicare.  For your convenience we will lodge rebate claims with Medicare Online at the time of your appointment if payment is made via EFTPOS.

All payments for Private Health funds need to be paid on the day.

TAC and WORKCOVER patients without an approved claim number will need to pay on the day of the consultation.

Overseas Students And Overseas Visitors

Patients who hold current and valid BUPA, Allianz, AHM, Medibank and NIB Student Health Cover or Overseas Visitor Cover are requested to attend the Clinic with their O.S.H.C membership card or O.V.H.C membership card along with their photo identification when consulting a GP at Tarneit Family Medical And Dental Centre.
All consultation fees which are covered by your membership will be directly billed to your health fund on the day of your consultation.

Our medical center will be charging our patients without a Medicare Card an out of pocket cost of $24.
We ask that all fees be paid for at the time of the consultation.

DNA Fee Policy

Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre now has implemented a  DNA policy whereby patients who fail to attend appointments will incur a fee of $30.00. A minimum of 8 hours’ notice is required for all appointments. However, we do understand emergencies can arise. Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre uses SMS reminders as a convenient way to remind you the day before of your appointment details. This service is a courtesy only and not receiving your SMS reminder is not a valid reason to miss your appointment. It is your responsibility to be aware of your appointment details, and to arrive on time or reschedule with sufficient notice. Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre reserves the right to request these fees are paid in full before another appointment can be made. You may also be limited in the way you can book in the future for repeat, serious offenders.

Cashless Clinic

We are now a cashless clinic from the 25 of October, this means we can only accept debit or credit card payments ONLY!
Please ensure you do not bring cash to pay for your consultation.
